Breakfast Show 7am-10am
I’ve worked in a number of jobs over the years but trained as Chef in the 80s and worked in hotels for a number of years, but always had a passion for Music and Radio. Since working on Hospital Radio, I was lucky enough to work on a number of Commercial Stations across the UK. Later in life, finding the urge to act, appeared in a few films and TV shows from Emmerdale to Wild Child.

Mick hall,
90's and 00's show mon -Friday 6pm-8pm
Many moons ago when I was a lot younger I used to work with a man, that did mobile disco’s. So as you do when you are young, I popped along and was hooked straightaway. I jumped onto the bandwagon and got involved hands on, how all the gear worked etc etc. I did that for many years, then got into the pub and club circuit. However, after getting married the years slipped by, I did not carry on with this hobby for many years. Then we had LOCKDOWN, I started doing sets online, instagram & facebook, which rekindled my passion. I then got in touch with my old boss who runs a local community radio station. After a few beers I sweet talked him into a regular show. Then came along another station – Where I did a regular Thursday night show “That 80’s & 90’s Show”. As you can guess things have taken very well so I have put together “That 90’s & 00’s Show” now broadcasting on Rubery Radio.

Joe joins Rubery Radio to kick off your weekend with The 80’s Remixed Show. This combines his natural love of the 80’s and way too many years to mention as a club DJ. Don’t worry we don’t mess with the originals too much and you’ll recognise every song! He’s been about a bit on the “wireless” too, with a list of stations as long as your arm: Oxygen Fm, Fusion FM, Passion 107.9, Fm107.9, Glide Fm, Kick Fm, Rugby Fm, Spa Fm, Jack Fm, Union Jack Radio (DAB) Voice overs, NBC 705 St Vincent & the Grenadines, Radio Hid (Bridge Fm, Budapest) and AccessAll80s online station. There’s no reason why South Birmingham and North Worcestershire shouldn’t suffer too, ha ha. So he’ll be popping up on Rubery Radio to get the place bouncing on the weekend. Roll up that rug, push back the sofa and the coffee table, create your own dance-floor, its party time round yours from 6pm on Friday nights, on Ruberyradio.co.uk or download the App, its much easier if you are listening in the car. “It’s great to be a part of Rubery Radio, its like I’m having a huge night out with the whole of South Birmingham and North Worcestershire and we’re all in the VIP area

The Seventies Sound Sat 8am-10am
Dave Edwards has been associated with the world of Radio Broadcasting for over 40 years, having started as many do, in Hospital Radio. Over the years, Dave has worked for both commercial and publicly funded radio stations both here in the UK, as well world-wide. He spent some time broadcasting in the USA, Canada, and Indonesia. Having experienced the Seventies first hand, he has a genuine love for the popular music, of that particular decade. This special love of the 70's is reflected in his show called 'That Seventies Sound' which he produces and presents each and every week.
